A Day with Teepa Snow

Teepa Snow, Positive Approach to Care

Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, a dementia care specialist, and the Positive Approach to Care (PAC) Team share about dementia so that everyone can understand why changes are happening and how you can support those living with brain change in a more positive and respectful way.

Living at Home is proud to be able to bring Teepa Snow and her team to Park Rapids to teach Positive Approach to Care.

Sessions include:

  1. Changing Resistance to Care and Participation in Care
  2. Learning the Difference Between Confrontation and Supported Communication
  3. Eating and Nutritional Issues in Dementia Care
  4. Making Moments of Joy for Those Living with Dementia

These classes are for everyone in our community: for those who are caring for a loved one with memory loss, for healthcare professionals, and any individual who would like to contribute to Park Rapids goal of being a Dementia Friendly Community. Continuing education credits are available for those who qualify.
