Caregiver Discussion Group
Date: The 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month
Location: Living at Home, 218 Industrial Park Rd., Door 1 (accessible ramp at Door 2).
Please call to register: (218) 732-3137
Discussions are based on caregivers’ articulated current needs, with moderation and support from the support coach to address these needs. Monthly topics are based on this feedback. Living at Home also has respite volunteers who may be able to stay with your care recipient while you attend the meeting.
Please contact Living at Home at 732-3137 for any questions you have. If a support group seems too much at this time, our caregiver support coach is available by phone, office visit and even a home visit. We recognize that sometimes all it takes is a caring individual to listen to get through a difficult moment.
Caregiver Support Services
Caregiver Support is a personalized service that equips family caregivers with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to develop themselves and enrich their role as caregivers.
The goal of the Caregiver Support Program is to cultivate a stronger caregiver who can care for themselves AND for their loved one.
Our Caregiver Support Navigator will collaborate with you (the caregiver) either in person, on the phone, via e-mail or by letters.
You will receive information regarding your loved one’s illness, resources in the community, tools to strengthen your caregiving skills and assistance with your own self-care.
